Struggling Villarreal B face Levante UD at Estadio de la Cerámica on Friday looking to build on a win in their last league outing.
After securing all three points with a 3-0 victory over Sporting Gijón on Sunday, Villarreal B sit 20th in the Segunda División.
They travel to play a Levante side 11th in the standings, who lost in their last match, 1-0 against FC Cartagena.
In Álex Forés Mendoza, Villarreal B have one of the league's sharpest shooters so far this season. He has notched 16 goals in 37 appearances, to sit third in the scoring charts.
His goal rate of one every 171 minutes is quicker than that of Mohamed Bouldini, Levante's top scorer with a goal every 271 minutes, and a total of seven goals in 32 games.
With 36 goals in 37 games so far this season, the home side are scoring at below the league average rate with 1.0 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 52 goals at a rate of 1.4 per game.
The visitors, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.1 goals per game. They have also conceded 1.1 goals per game.
In the last three years, Villarreal B and Levante have played each other on three occasions. Levante won two of them and they drew once.
Their last meeting was on October 3, when they played out a 1-1 draw.
Villarreal B are in mixed form in the Segunda División, with three wins and three losses from their last six games.
With two wins and two draws over that period, Levante's form is slightly worse – they have taken eight points from 18, compared to Villarreal B's nine.
