Relegation candidates Cádiz face a challenge away against high-flying Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday.

Cádiz are 18th in the La Liga table, and have picked up four wins and 14 draws in their 33 games to date.

Madrid, meanwhile, are top of the standings with 84 points, having won 26 and drawn six.

With 71 goals in 33 games so far this season, Madrid are the league's highest scorers with 2.2 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 22 goals at a rate of 0.7 per game.

Cádiz, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 0.7 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.3. They have conceded 1.4 goals per game.

The hosts are in exceptional form in La Liga, with six wins and no losses from their last six games.

With two wins and a draw over that period, the away side's form is much worse – they have taken seven points from 18, compared to Madrid's 18.

In Jude Bellingham, Madrid have one of the league's sharpest shooters so far this season. He has notched 17 goals in 25 appearances, to sit second in the scoring charts.

His goal rate of one every 125 minutes is much quicker than that of Chris Ramos, Cádiz's top scorer with a goal every 461 minutes, and a total of five goals in 33 games.

In the last 10 years, Madrid and Cádiz have played each other on eight occasions. Madrid won five of them, Cádiz one, and they drew twice.

On average, Madrid scored 1.8 goals and Cádiz 0.5 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on November 26, when Madrid won 3-0 away.

Madrid's last match was on April 26, a 1-0 win against Real Sociedad, with Arda Guler getting the goal for Madrid.

Cádiz drew 1-1 with RCD Mallorca last time out, on Sunday, with Omar Mascarell on the scoresheet.
